Every handbag and tote at The Loopy Lamb starts with a simple belief: you deserve something no one else has. Something made by hand, built to last, and worthy of every compliment it earns you.

But to understand why I started this little shop, you have to go back to a little girl with a crochet hook and a very patient aunt.

It Started With My Aunt

I was about 8 years old when my aunt first put a crochet hook in my hands and showed me the basics. Simple stitches, simple projects — but something clicked. There was something almost magical about turning a single strand of yarn into something real, something you could hold and use and give to someone you love.

I crocheted on and off for years, but it wasn't until my daughter came along that everything changed. I taught her to crochet — and she turned around and taught me how to read patterns. That moment opened up a whole new world. Suddenly, I wasn't just making simple stitches. I was making anything.

Why Handbags?

Because everyone needs a bag. Especially women and teens — a bag isn't just functional, it's an expression of who you are. And I kept looking around and thinking: why does everyone have the same bag?

I wanted to create something different. Something unique, one-of-a-kind, and sustainable — a bag you'd be proud to carry and excited to show off. Something that would spark a "Where did you get that?!" moment every single time.

I'm intentional about the materials I use. Most of my pieces are made with cotton — natural, breathable, and beautiful. For bags that need to hold their shape and stand the test of time, I use a high-quality polyester that is incredibly durable and sustainable. These aren't fast fashion pieces you'll toss in a season. These are bags you'll have forever.
